Ergo Flex versus the Market Leader

In the world of memory foam mattresses, the Tempur™ visco elastic temperature sensitive pressure relieving mattress is renowned as the market leader. Established as memory foam technology became commercially available to the public, Tempur™ manufactures a range of high quality, high specification mattresses. At Ergo Flex™, we're confident that we offer a viable high quality value alternative to Tempur's™ premium mattresses, and are happy to demonstrate this with a like-for-like comparison.

The most direct comparisons between any memory foam mattress can be made on composition, quality and price, so these are the factors that we’ll look at here. While there are a number of low-cost memory foam mattresses available, the vast majority are inferior in terms of materials and performance, and cannot be realistically compared to mattresses at the very top end of the market. We’re so sure of the quality of Ergo Flex™ memory foam mattresses that we can put them head-to-head against the market leader so you can see the results for yourself.

Composition: Ergo Flex's™ deluxe 3rd generation visco-elastic memory foam mattress is made up of 9cm memory foam, 3cm 'cool sleep' air-flow system, 9cm high resilient base support layer, inner cover and luxurious Jacquard outer cover - making a total depth of 21cm. The Tempur™ 15cm depth Combi mattress contains 7cm of TEMPUR™ material and 8cm high resilient PU foam - making the Ergo Flex™ and Tempur™ mattresses similar in dimension and layers.

Quality: The Tempur™ Combi and Ergo Flex™ memory foam mattresses use high density PU foam as a base layer. Ergo Flex™ uses 9cm of 5.3lb (85kg/m3) density memory foam, while Tempur's™ mattress uses 7cm of 85kg/m3 density TEMPUR™ material - meaning that both mattresses provide a high performance premium experience.

Price: The Tempur® Combi king-size mattress costs £1499, due to its high quality and household name branding. The king-size Ergo Flex™, with its demonstrably comparable high performance and composition, costs £799.

Two outstanding memory foam mattresses, and one huge difference in price.
